Task G — Five Best
Five longest flights
About this task
Rule: 5 longest flights count. 2 min max per flight. Unlimited flights in 10 minutes working time.
The Challenge: Quick turnarounds are crucial. You should fly 1 second less than 2:00 minutes, not 1 second more — landing at 2:01 wastes the extra second that could have been a turnaround. The task rewards relentless execution tempo over any single brilliant flight.
Decision factors:
- Precision landing: target 1:59, never 2:01
- Turnaround speed between flights is where scores are won or lost
- Conditions matter less than in other tasks — 2 minutes is achievable in almost any air
- No strategic depth — pure execution quality
- The top pilots separate from the pack by turnaround efficiency, not flight quality
What the data says: The easiest task by every measure. 62.6% score above 900, only 7.2% fail below 400. Median of 948 is the highest of any task — most pilots get close to max. The low difficulty (48.7) comes from the task being fundamentally about execution speed rather than decision-making. Flight times for top scorers cluster at 1:59–2:00, showing the 1-second precision discipline at work.
